Fredrika Herndon
Owner/Companion

Hi! I founded Capable Companion, LLC to provide people with a responsible, trustworthy, positive energy person to keep active adults getting out, doing their favorite things, and having fun doing everyday tasks (and even new things) together. Part of my inspiration comes from back in 2019 when I was the primary caregiver in our home to my father-in-law who had dementia, we could have used support like Capable Companion.

More About Me

I was born and raised in St. Mary's County, MD by the two most amazing parents anyone could even dream of. I am the youngest of three and absolutely their favorite kid. I graduated from Salisbury University in 1994 with a BA in Communication Arts and a Minor in Psychology.  I've been working since I was 16 years old, most notably, and most recently, as an Accountant Coordinator for Belk/Clinique 2002-2019 & Team Leader for Keller Williams 2020-2022. I also actively volunteered with the American Red Cross from 1990-2022. Currently, I am volunteering with Good Samaritan Hospice influenced by my mom who has been a volunteer with hospice back home since 1977, and because of how wonderful they were to our family when we needed them for my dad. In March of 2014, I married the luckiest man in the world and we now have 3 furry four legged kids named Myrtle, George and Lemmy!
